[The sad thing is, Pidge honestly tries to remember whether or not the chihuahua is one of the smarter breeds of dog. She's no vet either, unfortunately, and this is exactly the kind of thing that falls way outside of her realm of expertise. Which ends up being kind of irritating since she's used to knowing things. She ends up making a face, nose wrinkling as a show of that irritation, and she really wants to have a snarky response to that whole thing--
Except then Lance is back to talking about the things his mouth do, and his lips are brushing against her skin, and he's gotten extremely up close and personal, and Pidge's cheeks are back to being a flaming red. She doesn't push him away (perhaps against her better judgment), just tries to repress the little electric shudder that runs through her. And play off the hitch in her breath as the start of a chuckle.]
