[As Pidge gets a look at Rena, her first thought is that she's Altean because of the shape of her ears. Just like Allura and Coran. But then again she lacks those colored marks under her eyes, so that can't be true. Dimly she thinks that it's too bad; Allura would've been over the moon.
Either way, Pidge can definitely tell that Rena isn't human. Not terribly surprising, but it least tells her that the words "laptop" or "computer" may not mean very much to her. Her attention falls back to the parts in front of her, grabbing a large chip and holding it up a little so Rena could see.]
I'm gonna build a machine that can interface with the Ingress so I can figure out how it works and what's wrong with it. And then we can get around to fixing it. Sending us all back where we belong.
[Rena leans forward, attempting to get a better view of the object in Pidge's hand. While she isn't unfamiliar to computers, she only learned the functions necessary for research during her studies so unfortunately the chip doesn't bring any particular insight to her. The only thing that she can possibly relate the chip to is Precis' robots, but those are an anomaly to her as well.
At any rate, she merely nods as she processes the explanation.]
That's-- a pretty tall order to fulfill.
[Even the engineers on the ship currently couldn't figure it out; this person sure is ambitious.]
[Pidge nods absently, then places the chip down in one of the piles and makes another series of notes in her book. It is a tall order, but Pidge is pretty confident that she can manage it. She's done trickier things, but that was with tech that she was infinitely more familiar with.]
About half a day. It took some time to find these parts, and I still need to figure out what the ones I don't recognize are for.

How long have you been working on it for?
