[He'll just let her ramble. Waiting patiently. For him, it's not a big deal one way or another. But it might be for her. All the more reason to let her choose. Take her time and decide.]
Really. If you want to keep growing it out? We'll talk to her.
[He nods to the gear on the table.] But hey, if you want to go back? I'll do my best for you.
[Pidge chews on her lip for a second, contemplating the offer. It's a good idea. It's more practical to keep her hair short and out of the way. And she's gotten used to it. The idea of growing it out long again, to start looking like Katie Holt again... It's been so long that it feels strange.
After another moment she looks up at Shiro, then gives him a little smile and a nod.]
I could use the help. I kind of just... hacked at it with scissors last time.
[Pidge grins a little, untangling herself from among the machine parts and tools, and moves quickly to the chair at her desk. She looks back up at Shiro as she plops down into the seat, automatically tucking her legs up under her.]

[Sort of. Maybe. He's still not sure. But the point stands. Solidarity for the two of them.]
[He nods his head at the desk chair. Better there than the bed, right?] C'mon. Let's see what I can do.

[That's all the freedom he wants. Don't give him freedom, please. He picks up the scissors, though, frowning intently at her head.]

Yeah, that'd be good enough for me.

If you hate it, you can feel free to hold it against me.
[But he will do his goddamn best to make it look halfway decent.]
no subject
Relax, I won't hate it. I just need it to be out of my way.

[And let the great haircutting begin.]
